CARE & MAINTENANCE FOR YOUR STONE BENCHTOP
While your stone benchtop surface will resist permanent staining from common household liquids like tea, coffee, wine, we do recommend spills are wiped up as soon as possible because it is easier to deal with a spill than a dried spill.
Your daily cleaning would consist of wiping your benchtop surface with a soft cloth and warm soapy water (mild detergent).
You may also use Ajax Spray n wipe – stone safe Spray.
PERSISTENT STAINS OR DRIED SPILLS
Use a non scratch pad (Scotch-Brite- All Purpose Cleaning Pad 3m – ideal for Teflon and Silverstone surfaces) with Ajax Spray n Wipe – Stone Safe Spray.
Radiated heat from pots and pans can cause damage, namely permanent marks or cracks created by thermal shock, hence we recommend always using potholders to avoid direct contact with your benchtop.
While stone is a hard surface, we recommend always using a chopping board to preserve the original appearance of the benchtop.
Even though built to last, you should not stand or sit on your benchtop, as this weight may cause damage.
When using heavy objects like cast iron pans, please take care to place them gently on your benchtop, if you hit your benchtop with enough force you could cause damage. Some chips and cracks to your benchtop due to accidents may be difficult if not impossible to repair.
